GGWA (Get Genuine Windows Agreement)

Microsoft menawarkan solusi legalisasi Operating System (OS) untuk perusahaan anda yang diberi nama GGWA (Get Genuine Windows Agreement). GGWA merupakan License terbaru yang dikeluarkan Microsoft, GGWA ini diperuntukan untuk melegalisasikan operating system di suatu perusahaan yang sebelumnya masih menggunakan windows yang tidak original.

GGWA memiliki beberapa ketentuan:

1. Minimal pembelian 5 license, tidak diperlukan aktivasi produk namun hanya mengambil key product, License yang akan didapatkan berupa serifikat agreement dari Microsoft
2. Sifat lisensi GGWA adalah tidak bisa ditransfer ke komputer lain (nontransferable).
3. GGWA hanya tersedia untuk Windows Professional 7 tapi bisa didowngrade ke versi di bawahnya (sampai dengan Windows 98). Media kit tersedia sampai dengan Windows XP Professional (pilih media kit yang tepat).
4. Pembelian license GGWA pada suatu perusahaan sudah memenuhi syarat legal operating system Microsoft, tanpa harus membeli license OEM. Hal ini berbeda dengan license OLP windows yang berupa Windows OLP upgrade, yang mana license tersebut harus di OEM kan terlebih dahulu baru dianggap sesuai dengan aturan license yang ada (legal).

Kenapa harus beli software asli?
Karena UU HAKI no.19 Tahun 2002 mengatur tentang Hak Cipta. Penggunaan software bajakan diancam hukuman 5 tahun dan atau denda Rp. 500 juta, juga dengan menggunakan software bajakan reputasi bisnis Anda akan terancam.

Apakah Software License itu ?
Software license adalah hak yang legal untuk menggunakan, mengginstall, mengakses, menjalankan, menampilkan, dan berinteraksi dengan software yang lain.

Apakah 1 lisensi bisa di install di beberapa computer ?

OLP : Open License Program
Lisensi melekat atas nama Perusahaan/Organisasi yang bersangkutan dan dapat ditransfer antar PC dalam Perusahaan/Organisasi yang sama. License ini biasa digunakan untuk perusahaan yang berskala menengah dengan jumlah komputer kurang dari 250 unit PC.

• Minimal pembelian pertama 5 license, pembelian license OLP berikutnya bisa beli min. 1 lisensi (untuk waktu tertentu, setelah itu min. pembelian kembali 5 license)
• Satu buah Volume License Key untuk seluruh PC dalam Perusahaan / Organisasi yang sama
• Pelanggan boleh menggunakan versi yang lebih rendah dari versi yang dimiliki (down grade rights)
• Bersifat Upgrade untuk Desktop Operating Client.(Windows Vista, XP, 2000 Pro)
• Proses mungkin memakan waktu (sekitar 1-2 minggu)
• Customer mendapatkan sertifikat lisensi, untuk mendapatkan aktivation key harus masuk ke website yang ada pada sertifikat dengan login customer sendiri (kalau baru, customer buat login dulu)

Tidak legal. Untuk produk Microsoft OS baik itu Vista maupun XP, selalu dibundle dengan media dan ada COA label.

Apakah COA harus ditempel pada setiap casing PC?
Ya. COA sangat penting karena bertindak sebagai proof of license dari pre-installed software (OEM).

Saya menginginkan system komputer mengunakan Windows XP Professional yang memiliki fungsi dual-boot. Sistem tersebut digunakan dengan dua Windows XP Pro pada dua partisi yang berbeda di dalam 1 PC. Apakah itu memerlukan dua lisensi Windows XP Pro?
Jika Anda ingin memiliki dua Windows XP Pro terinstall pada partisi yang berbeda di komputer tersebut, maka Anda harus memiliki dua license OEM untuk Windows XP Pro. OEM License tidak mengijinkan penggunaan secara simultan pada satu buah PC.
